After hours of searching through photographs we decided to use the one of our daughter Miriam on our swing as our website banner. To us it projects freedom, excitement and adventure, as well as capturing the sense of possibility we have experienced since life has taken us in a new direction.
I took the photograph one afternoon in early spring of 2013 , out the front of the house at Wildflowers. I was lying on the grass in the warm sunshine looking up at the fascinating cloud formation in the blue sky and Miriam swung across my field of view, appearing to sail up above the trees and into the clouds, her legs flying out in front of her.
Every child of swinging age who visits Wildflowers loves this swing. The length of the rope means the swing has a massive trajectory and gives the swinger a fearful but exciting anticipation, wonderful tummy wobbles and a marvellous scream emitting thrill!
